Internships for graduate students are available at the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR). These internships are intended to: increase the intern's understanding of current human rights issues at the international level and give them an insight into the work of the United Nations and OHCHR in particular; and The internships requires extensive research in the areas of human rights law. Interns will also provide support with administrative duties. Internships are three months in duration with the possibility of extensions and require a 20-hour work week. Candidates must be able to live and work legally in the UK. Based in New York, United States of America, under the overall leadership of the High Commissioner, the intern reports to the respective Chief of Section or Human Rights Officer in the area of Human Rights Watch offers academic semester and summer internships for undergraduate students in New York, London, Los Angeles, Washington, DC, Brussels, and Berlin offices. Interns may be placed in one of the following regional or thematic programs at Human Rights Watch: Africa, the Americas (does not include US or Canada), Asia, Europe & Central Asia, Middle East & North Africa, United States, Arms, Children’s Rights, Women’s Rights, HIV/AIDS & Human Rights, Business & Human Rights INTERNaction is the platform between students and the NGOs network.
